Video isn’t “new” to marketing but for 2017, “the vid” is truly the main star. For marketers, this is great because you get so many angles and options for reeling in customers. I see the seemingly ephemeral videos making great leaps, kind of like what you see on Snapchat. They’re short, to the point and can be quickly digested. It’s exactly what the consumer psyche of instant gratification needs.
It’s exactly what the consumer psyche of today, with the instant gratification needs — wants. This means to market successfully, you need to provide vids.
Other marketing gurus see text as the new go-to platform for closing deals. In many cases, this is already happening, but there’s some pushback from traditionalists. However, text is and can be a written contract, and is much easier to archive and trace than verbal agreements.
